Tonight, I begin with more focus to create my ebook. The following is my new introduction to it. I hope you find it meaningful, especially at the beginning of this new year. No, I don’t have a title yet, at least not one I’m willing to share!
Before I begin, I recently saw a quote from Dr. Seuss’ book, Happy Birthday to You! from 1959. It reads: “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You!” That part of us that is You is Heart, and that is the basis of my life philosophy that has helped me and many others to make the greatest discovery. ___________________________________________________________ Who or what is the greatest creature in the Universe? What is the greatest discovery or ever will be the greatest discovery? Will it be in science or technology or maybe in economics or religion? Do you have an answer yet? Of course you don’t, probably because you know that I’m fishing for a specific answer. Not too fair, but I wanted to use the questions to set a context. The answer is You. Out of all the people or creatures of any sort, out of all the discoveries ever made or that ever will be made, out of all the innovations and knowledge or systems of religion or social beliefs — out of anything or everything imaginable, You, my friend, are the greatest creature, the greatest discovery in the Universe. How can that be if greatest means the best? Because we all come here for a specific purpose and reason to experience some particular aspects of life in time and space. Each is different; therefore, each can be best. Let me, please, ask you a few more related questions. If no one explores for and finds certain treasures or scientific laws or unknown species or planets or stars or new materials or thousands upon thousands of possibilities, are those things great? Are they discovered? Are they useful to anyone? This answer is far easier, isn’t it? NO. They are not. Please consider this carefully. Did electricity always exist? Yes, of course, but no one had explored the reasons how or why it worked, how it could be generated and harnessed to benefit anyone, or what possibilities would be opened to humanity if people would exercise the efforts, pains, and patience necessary to reveal the wonders and potentials of this natural energy. Have you guessed where I’m going with this, my friend? If you do not discover who that core Self is, that greatest one in the Universe is, then all of your potential benefit and reasons you may have chosen to come into this realm of mortality and time and space will remain dormant, a great treasure, unexplored and unused. Now, that does not mean you have sinned or anything like that, but it does do one thing I’m pretty damned sure of: it will leave you feeling unfulfilled, insignificant, and unhappy and probably a whole bunch of other negative emotions. And to me, that just sucks, because even when I had a vast portion of myself unexplored, it still pained me to see others hurt as much as they did. Therefore, I write these ideas, this philosophy, simply to help you explore and discover your greatness. The Basics How basic? We have a full charge of eternal Spirit in us, that which I have called Heart. We come here in order that Spirit as us may experience what is not natural to pure Spirit energy: a mind-soul-body complex with sensory capabilities. Spirit taking on this complex required an add-on, one that would help each one survive in a social world, because that’s exactly what this existence is. Some may prefer a more solitary existence, but “no man is an island entire of itself.” Therefore, Spirit created a default system to be able to survive initially. That would be the ego, and Ego is the operating system for our mind-soul-body complex. Ego filters and processes sensory input and basically sets the parameters within which our mind and soul function, which in turn program the body. Ego can spur a wide variety of actions and reactions, and it makes up part of who we are. However, it is not to remain our primary operating system. That would be Heart. Heart comes embedded in us, part of the complete package of us. Heart is that core Self, that part of Spirit in us. Because of that, Heart calls to us deep within to acknowledge and choose that link with eternal Spirit. That is the spiritual longing everyone has, some acknowledging it and some not but there nonetheless. In order to discover our greatness and lead fulfilling, significant, dynamic lives, we need to consciously and purposefully choose Heart. It is definitely a different operating system. When we toggle to the Heart operating system, we see things, feel things, and do things differently. Even if the outward action may be the same, the inward motivation and intent emit a higher energy and much more peace, satisfaction, gratitude, and love characterize us.

Questions to consider:How many times have you asked yourself or simply thought about the following questions?
Who am I, really? What is my truth? How do my actions reveal what I really feel and believe? What would I do with my life if I could do anything? What is my passion? Why am I here? How can I discover answers to any of these questions? If you have considered any of these questions, I hope that my experiences and writing will give you some guidance. Please read my blog and comment and share your thoughts. I would love to hear from you! Archives
