I’m not sure, but it seems like intelligentsia today focuses on nullifying the very basis of my life philosophy. It’s sad for one or the other of us, I guess. I’m not really sad because I don’t really care what highly educated academics or elites have to say when it comes to the spirit that forms the foundation of significant, fulfilling lives. I value research, conclusions, and pondering about many things, but I discount efforts that seek to negate Heart energy, Heart truth. The conclusions of “geniuses” mean little.
Unless, of course, they happen to be geniuses that have chosen Heart as the basic operating system, the hOS, Heart Operating System (as opposed to the eOS, the Ego Operating System — not the camera Canon Rebel EOS!). Albert Einstein, for example, could be analyzed from my metaphysical framework, and we would find many quotes like these: “Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts.” (More true perhaps in education of our youth than in any other arena.) “People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.” “A human being is a part of a whole, called by us ‘universe,’ a part limited in time and space. …Our task must be to free ourselves..by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” Okay, there’s a start, especially the Nature statement. Then, I would include Sir Isaac Newton and his law of the conservation of energy: “Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it simply changes from one form to another.” Energies of life function in us, through us, and around us constantly — no energy, no life. Two fairly smart guys, I would say. And selectively using two of their views of life and the science of life, the beauty of the intersection of their views, as well as many others, of nature and energy lends support to metaphysical, spiritual facts of life. Based on my Morning Pages, I wanted to get very specifically into some aspects of Nature I observe on a daily basis. I will probably do that tomorrow, but tonight I wish to lay out some of the background for my writing tomorrow. I quote myself from my first volume of poetry, the introduction and introductory poem. Somewhere along the way over the past 190 days, I may have used the poem, but I’m not looking for it! In the introduction I give some of my personal experience about the relationship of life energy in application and relationship to education, briefly. I will do more, promise. Here is my work, commentary to follow. “However, because of the distressing course of public education and how strongly I feel concerning the significance of education not only for our youth but also for the course of this nation and humanity, I took an early retirement. I was being forced to institute, drop by drop, an educational experience that prepared students for being mediocre employees at best, mindless pawns at worst, so I left. “Suddenly, with the freedom I had to explore possibilities, I found that I was simply overwhelmed. Throughout all of my self-studies, I just could not determine or even stay committed to focus on one course. The only peace I ever had was when I observed life and wrote about that, wrote my poetry and the self-searching questions after each one. That energy resonated with my soul. “I have always felt a particular attachment to Nature in her varied expressions, especially as past cultures looked to her and engaged in her. Therefore, to me, peoples like the Celts and Native Americans — North, Central, and South — held much wisdom, wisdom that has become increasingly obscure to us today. “Fortunately, many have valued that wisdom and movements like British and American Romanticism and Transcendentalism looked to the same Nature and the same Universe for instruction in personal as well as societal applications. In Nature, the basic energies of life are available to be transformed to meet our needs, to express ourselves, and to carry out life purpose. Axiomatically aligned with this are the spiritual longings that every human being possesses, longings that are fulfilled in each one’s own spiritual search through accessing their own life energy and connecting to the infinite energy of an infinite Universe. The Energies of Life ‘Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but it can be transformed and it can flow from one form to another.’ From somewhere deep within, The vibrations of life, Spirit that energizes all things: Newton saw it in gravity; Vincent perceived it in stars and fields, Cypresses and wheat, Factories and faces; Jefferson used it in the affairs of government; Satchmo sounded it forth on horn; Newton and Einstein traced it in their formulae; Oh, so many yet too few have Felt and sensed those energies of life, Transformed and expressed them, Channeled them, Creatively interpreted them -- For us. Those centers, pulsing, vibrating, moving within and from bodies of flesh, Centers that ring with the essence of life, of our lives, of all life, All matter. I write them, sing them, play them, paint them in these words That you may perceive them, That you may be discoverers with me: Rainbows of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, Each color vibrating with its own frequency, Each color resonating with us, Colors of the vibrations of life Keys to the Universe And all its subsets -- For us.” And let all this suffice to say that I believe awakening to self means awakening to these energies, using them, and acting with them and through them. Hearing our heart gives us direct, unrestricted access to the forces of the Universe. Tomorrow: puppies and birdies and kitties and stuff!
